Description

SMS is firmly established in the market place for the supply of single and multi-well, Wellhead Control Panels supplied both onshore and offshore for the control, monitoring and safety of oil and gas production wells.

These can be built strictly in accordance with client specifications or SMS can offer a full functional design specification service in the absence of any specific requirements, this will be detailed by our team of engineers whilst working closely with the client, ensuring the best possible technical and commercial solution is offered.

Wellhead Control Panels can be designed to control single or multi-wells; these units can be designed as removable drawer module type or integrated fixed assemblies and generally comprises of supply and SSSV return reservoirs, dual electrically driven hydraulic pumps, accumulators, filters and associated control and instrumentation for both, the LP hydraulic supply headers and the HP hydraulic supply headers.

The Wellhead Control Panel is designed as a fully enclosed assembly with the Hydraulic Power Unit providing a common source of hydraulic power for each well control module.

The simplicity or complexity of the systems is purely down to the clients request based on the requirements of the project, SMS can offer well control logic in the form of electro-hydraulic, pneumatic-hydraulic, or electro-pneumatic instrumentation and control interfaces.  Control can be provided by connecting all analogue / digital signals to either integral junction boxes for connection (by others) to the Master Control System (MCS) or a fully integrated Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system  in order to provide sequential opening and closing of the Wellhead valves, pump control and system shutdown.
